A student of philosophy and art at Skidmore College, Cole Giordano now works in the fields of photography, drawing/illustration, design, and modeling, and dabbles in writing. A die hard punk rock fan, Cole has also been playing in bands that can be heard around the New York area for the past 5 years, and continues to do so.

Living just outside of, rather then in New York city has few upsides for someone who always has to commute back and forth for work and play, but I am fortunate enough to live next to Rockefeller State Park Preserve : a park developed by the Rockefeller family in the early 20th century that comprises over 55 miles of horse carriage trails and nearly 2,000 acres of land. I was able to explore this amazing place with new found interest when I was asked to photograph it for a story in this month’s issue of The Hook Magazine . Even though it’s totally different from what I usually do, I couldn’t say no. Here is what they published:

(note: I did not shoot the 2 adjacent photographs in the middle of the above spread)

The park is a truly an unusual, and breathtaking place to visit, and I recommend anyone in or near the city finds the time to take a trip there.

Happy Holidays KDU!
