Gustavo Brigante is a graphic designer and illustrator from Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the late 90s he formed EEN (Eternal explorers of nothing, Environmental explosions of noise, etc.) aka eenia, with Javier Cencig as a flash experimental site where they shared a passion for experimenting with unfolding design structures and Gustavo's first bits of manipulation/illustration.

After friendly departing work ways circa 2001/2002 Gustavo started working for several clothing brands and then expanded his work into several other areas such as logotype design, complete branding and design systems for clothing brands, digital compositions and photoillustrations, character creation and t-shirt designer.

As a personal note, Gustavo is self-taught in all of the areas he works, and partly his careed was fueled by being constantly encouraged by people he admired and became friends. This fueled his desire to learn more and explore even more, to finally turn his investigation around work and knowledge in general to be everydays most enjoyable homework of all.

Nowadays Gustavo Brigante works at his own studio in Buenos Aires, for several clients on a global level. On ranges going from digital matte painting work to character creation, illustration, logotypes and lettering.

mostly while developing characters for different projects, both personal and private.

Piece for upcoming book --

Piece for upcoming book --

After Fiddling for a lot of time with the idea of using a tablet for my work and a few failed attempts at it from the past, i decided to do an entire piece using the tablet and Photoshop. I decided to go full on with it for this piece and actually start with something more challenging than a simple character so i just tried to go as far as i could with it and learn while doing it. The result is this piece i made for an upcoming book featuring my character doctor een, i hope you like the results!

This is a poster i’ve done thinking about the role of gaming
into everyday rituals of modern young men and women from nowadays.

I’ve been always playing with one console or another since i have memory,
and i realized how much this became a part of our daily routine, and i guess i wanted
to get around that subject in a fun way.

I was fiddling with the idea of how a movie poster from another planet would look like, and i guess by merging bits from different cultures and and invented scriptform i ended up making this poster, which im thinking on making a series and i will have a good bunch of them printed very soon.

I was commissioned by an agency to work on this Digital matte painting for TCM, the retro movie channel from the Turner network.
The client wanted 3 of the most seen landscapes on TCM movies merging, as in Western, Mysterious Island/Jungle, and Volcano forest. They were very flexible around how i should show this scene, so i decided on making a panoramic view of the scene working it out with both photography and 3d, merged with matte and manipulation work.

TV Party! – Camila Huerta by Gustavo Brigante
This work was a collaboration with chilean model Camila Huerta for her portfolio. Worked out this piece with total freedom of subject as long as the piece was centered on the main portrait so i had lots of fun working on this. At the time of making this i was also learning Cinema 4d (still am) so i experimented a little with it for this composition and all the rest was worked around with Photoshop.
