InkFace / New Development / Mixed Media :
Here is the latest edition of artwork.
In a nutshell my own development using an array of mixed media, every tool I have is being used fully and cranked hard!
This has been a long time coming, so for me, it is a milestone reached. After a few discussions around the table, plenty of caffeine, days melding into nights and nose to grind. I have been looking through a vast selection of old work that to me, is just that, old. The only way to push past this kind of ‘block’ was to scrap some, keep some, build anew. Still the same one man show, but this time, more determined with a whole trunk of focus.
I am very aware that this point was reached well over a year ago, during this swift development, one of the main factors was by reading my personal journal posts and how slow and frustrating the process has been.
To quote the previous post, production time is now much swifter, paying much close attention to mediums used + file types to ensure size aspect & resolution stays exact.
Fully confident that this will develop much further as my own language as an Artist and Designer.

Cult Chansonnier Rebranding
Joe Barbieri is an internationally esteemed italian chansonnier.
“Like the painter Plasson in the novel “Ocean Sea” by Alessandro Baricco used to paint the sea using the sea water and obtaining smooth and intangible paints, almost white, it could be said that Joe Barbieri sings the air through the air, the absence through the absence, the empty space through the empty space.”
This stimulating Rebranding project is related to the publishing of the long awaited new album, named “Respiro” (Breath), published last March the 20th. Thanks to the international appreciations gathered through the years, this album will be launched worldwide in more than 62 countries.

A few weeks ago I was invited by the good folks at A.K.A to join a few other awesome designers to contribute a logo graphic for their Fake I.D show case event. Here are some shots of the design process of the graphic I created and some shots of the A.K.A team putting the show together. The night turned out great and it was nice to make some new friends and get to know some awesome creatives out here in Vancouver city.

He was born in ‘88, studied Visual Communication and Photography at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Besides being focused on applied and commercial photography, he is also working as a cinematographer.
+ F R O N T I E R
After many months of procrastinating, it is an achievement to finally get the initial identity laid down for a very personal project. ( at least 8 months late! )
‘Charity’ is a word that most of us overlook on a daily basis, without even giving it a second thought. Maybe many of you have a charitable nature and give willingly at regular intervals to help aid and support various causes. A little goes a long way. + Frontier is not typically an ‘art’ led charity, but funds will be raised toward art equipment and learning resource. Over the past 5 years I have given art canvas works to small charity auctions to help raise money for Cancer Research, Alzheimers, Parkinsons and Children with rare or incurable diseases due to immune deficiency. Giving costs nothing.
We all know and suffer loss at some point in our lives. There are a few charities that are close to the heart that are really doing all that they can, with near 100 % of all money raised going towards aid. So in short, the reality is that anybody can do anything within their own capability to help create change on some level, no matter how big or small. This will involve actually getting off my butt, getting out there and ‘doing’, instead of simply observing.
We are X3., an award winning design studio based in Romania. We are a team of 10 professionals, specialized in experience design and interactive experience design (UI/UX), keeping an eye nevertheless on illustration and branding.
During our 10 years of life as a company, we always considered our clients to be our friends, and thus wanted to create projects that could make both us and them proud. You can check some of our most representative projects on our portfolio. Some of them are also described below:
D`arc Mini Challenge, is an interactive online experience, that we created for D’arc Club, as part of their branding campaign. The D’arc Mini Challenge is a game that tests your online driving skills, in a Mini Cooper, on a bar. The challenge is to deliver drink ingredients to bartenders, to help them prepare cocktails.
Here is the behind the scenes story, the making of.
Plai Festival is a complete experience about Music, Multiculturalism and Art celebrating diversity. For this festival we created a branding and promotional campaign.
You can read the making of here.
Port of Spirits, a poster we created for Off Drum Competition 2010: Portorož Piran Genius Loci, got us a II place during the festival.
Visual Freaks, a high-end project providing art-packs of unique graphic elements for designers.
Aualeu.ro, our most recent project, an illustrated story of Aualeu Theatre – that strives to perform purely theatrical and in a direct manner, without any useless make-overs.
And some of our logos.
I started a little branding and identity project called Distorted Identities. It basically answers the question: “To what extent can we distort famous logos and symbols that they remain easily recognizable?” Here’s some of the results. Can you guess them? Cutters of Cloth / ÆSTHETIC HABIT – For this project I worked closely with two highly talented individuals to develop a format and Art Direction for the initial impact of the web identity. The creation of the logo infuses a hand made and rough cast image reflective of manual work. The profile for the project is to address a direct need for handmade independent fashion / high costume, with a balanced neutral Masculine & Feminine quality to the intended articles, using a mixture of Cloth, Leather, minimal color value and embellishments.
Art Direction, Photography & Print within dramatic scenery will be the main artistic visual driving force.
