Ode to the Supermoon :
It continues to guide vessels. A constant reminder of ones awareness of self and of presence. Its features represent a knowing and a sense of purpose amid the void.
We question its dominance and its activity. The poetry that it weaves among men, the vision among seers, the silence among prophets, effect upon tide, telling of time.
The mathematics is simple, and yet is made complicated and unfathomable by many. Know your gravity. Unity through alignment and co-ordination. In this we Trust.
Logo / type treatment and image - a solid simplified system of elements, a good balance of light and dark, not complicated. The Keystone shows gravitational pull, remaining intact, dominant and unshadowed.
We are X3., an award winning design studio based in Romania. We are a team of 10 professionals, specialized in experience design and interactive experience design (UI/UX), keeping an eye nevertheless on illustration and branding.
During our 10 years of life as a company, we always considered our clients to be our friends, and thus wanted to create projects that could make both us and them proud. You can check some of our most representative projects on our portfolio. Some of them are also described below:
D`arc Mini Challenge, is an interactive online experience, that we created for D’arc Club, as part of their branding campaign. The D’arc Mini Challenge is a game that tests your online driving skills, in a Mini Cooper, on a bar. The challenge is to deliver drink ingredients to bartenders, to help them prepare cocktails.
Here is the behind the scenes story, the making of.
Plai Festival is a complete experience about Music, Multiculturalism and Art celebrating diversity. For this festival we created a branding and promotional campaign.
You can read the making of here.
Port of Spirits, a poster we created for Off Drum Competition 2010: Portorož Piran Genius Loci, got us a II place during the festival.
Visual Freaks, a high-end project providing art-packs of unique graphic elements for designers.
Aualeu.ro, our most recent project, an illustrated story of Aualeu Theatre – that strives to perform purely theatrical and in a direct manner, without any useless make-overs.
And some of our logos.
A vision to ‘Destroy the Machines’ was to mix organic and mechanical forms to create a fused compound in constant evolution and motion. Structure vs Growth. A hand inked background was scanned and added to offer a movement to the illustration framework as we near our minds toward the atomic frame and realise the infinite.
The contrast and conflict is that it lacks a certain aggression in making a statement and thorough intention.
Although a machine was used to execute the design, it is more a visual that represents energetic organic ascension as opposed to digital devolution.

Hello KDU and followers ….
Just wanted to share a little something that the studios project manager has finally got up and running after what seems months of dev work … ladies and gentlemen, I give you ToggleChat! Toggle Chat basically expands a search engine’s parameters by automatically creating a chat room based on the search topic or phrase. This will allow the user to interact with other individuals searching for the same subject and gain more insight. Think of it as social media for searching!
Currently its only working on the Chrome browser and is being tied into Safari, Firefox and any other platform we can get our grabby hands on. So if you feel like checking it out and giving comments, feedback and or critiques please feel free. This was built for everyone in mind.
**UPDATE: we noticed a little bug in the login section …. and will be fixed by tonight!
This issue was curated by KDU partner, Josh Vanover, KDU Core member, Victor Antonio and KDU Founder, David Gensler.
Containing over one hundred original images produced by top KDU members, it represents our continuing effort to crate the future while resisting the Digital Haze and Hype.

Some friends of mine recently built a mini ramp in the basement of their apartment in Bed-Stuy, BK. A truly homemade mini, the ramp is made from plywood, with the occasional duct-tape patched hole, coping found on the street, and the possibility of 3″ splinters, this ramp is no joke. But, of course, we wouldn’t have it any other way–there’s nothing like escaping the cold to skate with some friends on a private, indoor mini ramp. In addition to the ramp, the basement is also the home of their full band set up, so their guests can shred to some home cooked live music. These guys are living the skateboarder dream out in BK. Here are some shots from a recent session there:
The new Myspace is about reimagining discovery, “Discovered & to be Discovered” both conventionally and unconventionally. Myspace is still all about meeting new people, finding new content, engaging in rich onsite experiences and being personally discovered.
Core cultures are: self-expression / rebellion / edge / passion / freedom / fun / beauty / eye candy / sex / release / sacredness / bleeding edge / exclusivity / ever changing / always different… POP CULTURE!
