I had a little extra time so I made a illustration of Nicki Minaj inspired by one of her newer videos, “Beez In The Trap”. It was an experimental piece for me. Played with some new ideas and techniques. Check it out.

Illustration for curated collection ‘Sound by Numbers’. Shown at music festival Sounds From the Other City. I was asked by Volkov Commanders to create a piece that would respond to the idea of giving the audience an instruction that will allow them to experience a sound.

My name is Solomon, and I am a versatile designer. I love typography, illustration and graphic designs. One day hopefully, I will do industrial designing like Iron Man, hahaha. I want to say it’s an honor to be the newest member of this Elite Club – Keystone Design Union, same club Kaws and other great designers are apart of. I mean I’ve been a self taught computer and freehand designer of two years, and I’m getting recognition for all those overnights I put in. Call me the kid that don’t sleep cause I wish to become the true King of Graphic Designs one day.

Check out a KDU Character I did, call him Sir Elite.

Finally released, we at Laundry! created visual animation and editorial for this 80s airbrush inspired robotic extravaganza marrying our loves of both Robert Palmer and Hajime Sorayama into this electric and neon creation for Svedka. Second to that, we also completed a Jeff Koons inspired journey through a world of ghetto blasters, brick retro cellphones, lipstick rockets, and good old fashioned trips through outer space for the second complimentary commercial.

Last year we @Laundry! collaborated with Sony to create an animated retail experience for their stores worldwide. What began as a synchronized series of screens within each store playing at the top of the hour daily soon evolved into our graphic language carrying over into print, advertising and online. Quite simply we created animated flower petals that wove every aspect of their brand at the time in a very inviting and human way that made Sony less about the technology and more about the pleasure of marrying technology seamlessly into everyday life.

Below is a 3d render of the store experience which we created in Maya, c4d, and after effects and utilizing specialized servers and applications in store to sync our animations to the 28 different screens at once.

I was asked by a friend of mine to perform for the French consulate in Wuhan, China.

Yes, it’s on Friday the 13th !

I was in charge of the communication so here’s the black and white, monogramed, first version of Vendredi 13. Below the colored, final version of the flyer.

I didn’t do any flyer design for a long time, i have to admit that it was quite fun. Dealing with colors is something i’m not used to anymore, but i enjoyed and quite like the result.
Dj MauMau will be playing some cool tracks while i m painting.

Feel free to come by if you’re around !

TMRWTODAY_LOGO

I did 2 animated Gifs for the TMRWTODAY fashion project. > tmrwtoday.com <

The first one is based on my Majestyrone Type, the second one, on the Flatirone I also designed. I admit that working with this bitmap-like effect was quite fun.
