I was comissioned to do these illustrations by the team at Harvard Business Review (http://hbr.org/) for the article “Coaching the toxic leader” written by the distinguished clinical professor of leadership development and organizational change at INSEAD, Manfred F.R. Kets de Vries.
Each of the illustrations was to divide the different personalities that the article refers to, as “The narcissist”, “The manic depressive”, “The passive agressive” and “The emotionally disconnected”.
The article is online at http://hbr.org/2014/04/coaching-the-toxic-leader/ if you wish to give it a read!

OVERHEARD is a miss-ordered diary of the dark, crude, random and occasionally funny snippets of conversation that I’ve noted down.
For a few years now I’ve taken the nonsense I hear and written it into my phone’s ‘notes’. The quotes – each out of their context – are tagged with the themes of the conversation it was taken from and it’s colour is based on its general category; MIND, AIR and BLOOD. Colour intensity is linked to the time it was written. Every quote has an illustration that embodies its narrative. The snippets are verbatim from my phone (drunken spelling and all).

This year again, I was commissioned by the French Consulate in Wuhan to design the “FETE DE LA MUSIQUE” poster.
On the 21rst & 22nd of June, Wuhan, China.
My first idea was to have that massive golden bling, a hiphop cliché in the West, which is also worn by some Chinese sketchy guys.
Both Precious and show-off.
It s the first title I design mixing latin-letters with chinese-characters. Once in a while it’s cool to use colors also.
