Grapes and Snakes is a collaborative apparel project between Alexander Campaz and Carlos Charlie Perez. For their latest project they designed a tee shirt for Sierra-Leon musician Janka Nabay. The tee will be sold exclusively @ Inven.tory NYC during a Live performance by Janka Nabay on September 1st, 2010.

Saturday August 14th Joshua LIner Gallery presents our annual Summer Group Exhibition showcasing 24 artists, including established gallery regulars, emerging artists, and newcomers to Joshua Liner Gallery. The exhibition will feature painting, assemblage, drawing, and sculpture, with works by:
Cleon Peterson, David Kassan, Dennis McNett, Evan Hecox, Ian Francis, James Roper, Jeremy Fish, Jessica Joslin, Kenichi Yokono, Kris Kuksi, Mac, Mi Ju, Mike Davis, Oliver Vernon, Pema Rinzin, Pete Watts, Ryan Bradley, Ryan McLennan, Shawn Barber, SWOON, Tat Ito, Tiffany Bozic, Tomokazu Matsuyama and Tony Curanaj.
Knitting is a system of loops, each held in place by the one below. The cumulative effect of knitting is what gives it texture and subtance.

Here, I knit a lace-weight fiber into the bulkiest tape, and knitted that into a heavy fabric. Though it appears to be only endless repetition, the recursion, the infinite plane of this piece is as complicated as any history, map, or identity.
