BW Poster – The Propaganda X KDU Indonesia. Just Trust! Your Hate
Been absent for a while but excited to be back. Lots of new work to come soon. In the mean time enjoy the sunshine!
Well, please feel free to visit the ‘
Armoury‘ often. A ‘non’ blog and a manageable way to show humble snips of sketch work, initial outlines and anything that I feel may offer a means of communicating images in process, before they are finished. Sometimes the screen or expanding images do not do artwork justice. This is a realtime exercise and relevant, albeit in the first stages. Mentioned in an older post way back, this will be heading toward a studio page, where obvious working tools and drawing board images will be on display. This is in the hope of projecting my surroundings to you, and possibly the only way to add more depth and personality via the digital world of the internet, to you, the art observer.
This work is a typography experiment, you might be able to read ” Sweet sound of rain”.
You can also see it on my online showcase.
I connected with the homey Levi maestro to make a limited edition poster for the Super Stupid dummy grind party hes throwing to raise money for japan. The trend has passed, but we both still hold the people of japan, our homies and strangers close to our heart and took the opportunity to both do what we do best paired with a few other like minded people, creatively to raise support. All proceeds from donated products go directly to japan relief, and the event will feature the tunes of Dj 9th wonder plus a few other guests if you are here in LA this weekend at the key club.
From a creative level, Levi captured pretty closely my art process from start to finish, from pen, to computer to silkscreen, in a simple playful way I think really pleasantly captures the overall Laundry! vibe well. The only part he made look easy was the screen printing process which was a bit of a feat. Anyhow, enjoy.
Please view the feature here. BIG thanks to all our friends in the media who have continued to show support for the relaunch. true thanks.
Special thanks for Kevin Ma at Hypebeast for the support. Please view the feature here.
Finally finished and launched the underground campaign, Behind The Wall for JAYS headphones. It was a public binaural sound installation created to make a buzz without shouting. Using headphone jacks placed in selected locations throughout Stockholm, it dares curious by-passers to experience what actually goes on behind the wall.
Instead of telling people to buy JAYS headphones, a sound experience was created to show the benefit of high quality sound. Without headphones you can not experience the binaural sound, hence the connection between the installation and the product. I was creative director for this project.
Ava Luna plays the FREE Block Party on June 4th.
