Today is the big day, when I’m breaking the glass, here on the KDU. I’ll present to you two posters based on typography, that got featured on Design and Design Book of the Year – volume three.

I started a small project based on type a few months ago. I used for it famous quotes of well-known artists combined with only few suggestive graphic design elements.

Every week I will be photographing a “Neu friend”. I am always meeting new faces in random places. Some people tell me stories, others just give me an inviting smile.

Meet Cameron, a young photography student who sat across from me on the A train. We talked for 15 minutes about street photography and fashion. So engaged in the conversation we ended up missing our stop. While waiting for the next train at the Utica subway station I decided to take his portrait.

We had the pleasure at Laundry! of throwing in our two cents typographically for Will.i.ams new video feat. the ever unique Nicki Minaj which was our main reason for taking this on. The concept was to visually nod to korean game shows and their frenetic rediculousness and pair that with both Will and Nicki’s spastic delivery. We have no idea what the words say, we are told they are close translations. Click here to see more of our work.

I must confess that my good friend and long time collaborator Mike Ventura, has created the best experiential marketing platform in New York City. Period. The Levi’s Photo Workshop, currently housed at the old Deitch Gallery space in Soho (Wooster Street) – is how brands should be engaging consumers. It is proof that the old methods of advertising are dead and gone.

Oh Yeah Studio was invited to talk at this year Design vs Music! This is an annual design event in Tromsø, created by Tank design, supported by Grafill. We shared the stage with the great motion agency Dvein.
